POSADA DE SAN JOSÉ is in the heart of the historic centre of Cuenca, a World Heritage city. It is a 17th century historic building which has retained its original monastic atmosphere and its past as the Cathedral's Colegio de San José school for choir boys in Cuenca. It reopened its doors as an inn in 1983. It was completely refurbished in 2003, respecting the spirit of the building and maintaining its character and simplicity. Our inn can accommodate 57 guests in double and single rooms, as well as 4 double superiors. All rooms are furnished in accordance with their surroundings, and most of them have splendid views of the Huécar River gorge or our garden. Some of them also have a balcony. 22 of our 29 rooms have a full bathroom, and 7 of them have a sink and shared WC and showers. These 7 rooms were originally the cells occupied by the monks who taught the Cathedral choir boys. All rooms with bathroom have central heating, hair dryer and TV TDT. The double superiors also have a personal tea service, massage shower, king size beds etc. . There are also 7 extra folding beds and cots available.
